Thank you for taking the time to check out my website!
I grew up in Manitoba always spending time in the outdoors with my family. I was taught from a young age that nature was composed of many different interactions and species which made me extremely curious about why things are the way they are in nature. I was always looking at nature through a biological lens. I later decided that biology was something I wanted to pursue as a career. I became consumed in learning about the natural world and the interactions between animals and their environment. After my Bachelor of Environmental Science, Forest Ecology degree was completed, I moved to northern Alberta to pursue my environmental career! Along the way I found my passion for photography and continue to pick up my camera as a creative outlet. I now find myself currently located in Nova Scotia!
Ive always been in love with the outdoors! Since I can remember, being in nature doing things like camping, hiking, skiing, canoeing or exploring new places has always given me the foundation for adventure. I want to share with you my photographs from these adventures with the intent to create a nostalgic connection between the viewer and the image, inspiring people to get outside and connect with nature and themselves. I believe that having a relationship with the outdoors helps you slow down, reconnect with your heart and enjoy the present moment. Home is what I call it!
I hope these stories and images make you feel some of the things that I’ve felt in these beautiful places.
Cheers,
C
